Atriarch - Forever The End (2011)

"Atriarch is a living entity comprised of four parts, offering catharsis through sonic ritual where there is no god, there is no devil; there is an all encompassing force that connects all living things."

Hailing from the Pacific Northwestern United States, Atriarch is a mesmerizing doom metal force comprised of members from Graves at Sea, Trees, and Final Conflict. "Forever the End" is an impressive debut full-length encompassing haunting atmospheres and droning avalanches of ritualistic sludge.

Brainoil Discography

"Hailing from the hometown of Neurosis, High on Fire, Dead and Gone and the Oakland Raiders comes the new devil spawn of Rock and Roll; Brainoil. With a wall of raspy down-tuned equipment, Brainoil melts intense underground live energy with a powerful, tight rhythm section creating head-throbbing southern-sludge influenced Rock and Roll." -Life is abuse

Demo (1998)

Iron Lung split 7" (2001)

Brain/Lung is an extremely rare split with the legendary power-violence duo, Iron Lung. It was released on Boredom Noise Records.

Cruevo split CD (2001)

Although this amazing split was jointly released between four different labels, it was limited to a single run of only 1000 copies. Cruevo was another great Oakland-based band delivering three longer songs of intense stoner-crust.

Brainoil s/t LP (2003)

Brainoil's legendary debut full-length is often described as "Southern-sludge at it's best". It was initially released on Life is abuse in 2003 and then on Throne the following year.

Monarch! - Speak of the Sea (2006)

Country: France

Record Label: Throne Records

Total playing time: 38:42

"Monarch! unleash a slow motion avalanche of impossibly glacial, blackened sludge and hypnotic feedback, each song a series of epic tarpit riffage stretched out eternally over lumbering drums and the cavernous rumble of speaker cabinets. Over these yawning expanses of black void appears the demonic, throat-shredding shrieks and ghostly singing of Emilie, whose petite appearance belies one of the harshest throats in the underground Doom spectrum. Beyond heavy."

Wake Up On Fire - s/t (2005)

Wake Up On Fire's full length strikes me as a monumental roller coaster of crust and doom consisting of a cello, dual tribal drumming, emotionally charged build-ups, and a combination of various vocal styles (ranging from tortured shrieks and death growls to somber female singing). Although they are no longer together, members of Wake Up On Fire have gone on to form bands such as Nux Vomica, Moonshine, OAK, and Rotting Sky.

1. Green Mouth
2. Dust
3. Oubliette
4. Holes
5. Will To Be Hollow

Lachrymose - Demo (1996)

After Skaven broke up in the late 90's, guitarist Geoff Evans formed Lachrymose along with the drummer and one of the bassists of Skaven. Soon after the formation, Dino Sommese (Dystopia) was recruited as the lead vocalist. The demo is considered the "prequel to Asunder", as it was the only material they recorded before the band eventually became Asunder. It's interesting to notice how the different elements of Dystopia and Skaven are combined to create a very unique style of crust.

Suffering Luna - Discography (2010)

“Suffering Luna’s been around since the ’90s and keep resurfacing with a hellish brand of psychedelic hardcore laced with weird polyrhythms, media-soundbite samples, tape loops and hairy walls of guitar that owe to the artier strains of Scando black metal and ’70s Euro kosmiche musik. Their performances are grueling, paranoid affairs that burn their way into trance.”

In addition to their songs from the split 7" with Dystopia and the split 12" with Gasp, this release includes 4 new studio songs and a new live recording with their current lineup.

Tracklist:
1. Sea of drugs
2. Paranoid Delusions
3. Oh, Black Pyramid
4. Live in Studio, Feb 2010
5. Smoking on the Devil's Piss
